A Mexican woman went to Peru to be with a medical student she had met online. Later, her body washed up on a beach, and the medical student was accused of taking her organs.
The Independent said that Blanca Arellano, 51, told her family at the end of July that she would travel 3,000 miles to Huacho to meet Juan Pablo Jess Villafuerte, 31, a medical student with whom she had been in touch online for a long time.
On November 7, the woman falling in love told her niece Karla Arellano that the relationship was going well. After that, she stopped talking to her family.
Karla tweeted on November 12: “I never thought I’d be in this situation, but today I’m asking for your help to share this post and find one of the most important and loved people in my life.”
“On Monday, November 7, my aunt Blanca Olivia Arellano Gutiérrez went missing in Peru. We’re worried about her life,” she said.
Karla said she was worried when she called Villafuerte, and he told her that Bianca was returning to Mexico after they broke up. “I decided to talk to Juan P because he was the only person she knew in that country,” she wrote. “That’s when our fear started.”
Villafuerte is said to have said that Bianca took a flight back home because she told him, “I couldn’t give her the life she wanted.”
On November 10, Peruvian police found a cut-off finger with a silver ring still on it on a nearby beach. In the days that followed, a head without a face, an arm, and a torso with all its organs taken out appeared on the beach.
The Independent says the sad family matched the ring to their missing loved one.
The news source said that a warrant was issued for Villafuerte on November 17 and that he was arrested on charges of trafficking in human organs.

According to El Popular, it was later found out that the suspect had started posting videos on TikTok not long after Blanca went missing. It allegedly showed him taking apart body parts like a pancreas and a brain.
The Independent, citing El Pais, said that when police searched Villafuerte’s home, they found blood in the bathroom, the laundry room, and his mattress.
Karle tweeted on Wednesday, “We have no words to describe what we are going through.” “My aunt was kind, warm, smart, dedicated, and loving, and that’s how she should be remembered.”
