Who sits on the Iron Throne is the only thing that matters in the world of Game of Thrones and its prequel, House of the Dragon. In these eight episodes, many new people have joined House Targaryen. This means that there are now more people who want the throne. Now that King Viserys is gone, the real battle for the throne is about to begin. In episode 9 of House of the Dragon, we will see the show for the first time without Viserys, so it will definitely be different.
Most importantly, before he died, King Viserys spoke with Queen Alicent, but she misunderstood what he said. And this wrong understanding is likely to lead to a lot of bloodshed in the next seasons of the show. let’s with us till the end for the complete information.

The Preview For Episode 9 Of House Of The Dragon Shows The Beginning Of A New War.
The Green Council is the name of the next episode, which will start right after King Viserys dies. Alicent Hightower tells her father that the king’s last words were to make their son Aegon the next king. After her husband dies, she gets together a small group of people, called the Green Council, who want a man to take over. On the other hand, a few houses will decide to stay true to what King Viserys said and will support Rhaenyra’s right to the throne.
There will be consequences for the different points of view, and in the next episodes and seasons, there will be more dirty politics and more deaths. The preview for the next episode also shows that the show is getting more new characters. The whole city seems to be in chaos, and Rhaenyra isn’t in the preview, but Alicent can be seen making plans.
The penultimate episode of House of the Dragon is here, and now that poor King Viserys I has died and gone to the great beyond (he was looking a bit ragged! ), tensions between House Hightower and House Targaryen are at a boiling point. In these last two episodes, it’s time to pick a side and see how your team’s hopes for the next leader play out.
Before we start to peel back the layers of House of the Dragon Episode 9, let’s remember all the terrible things that happened in last week’s chapter, “The Lord of the Tides.” More Milk of the Poppy, please!
What Happened In The Previous Episode Of House Of The Dragon?
In the Seven Kingdoms, the only thing we can really count on is uncertainty. When we skipped ahead six years, we saw that Lord Corlys’ battle wound at the Stepstones made House Velaryon change its plan for who would take the Driftwood Throne if he died. Vaemond is The Sea Snake’s blood brother, so he is the obvious choice. However, Rhaenyra’s son Luke, who “supposedly” came from Laenor Velaryon, could get Driftmark because he is her second-born child.
Lord Hightower was sitting on the Iron Throne for the King, who was now sick in bed. Royal figures gathered at King’s Landing to make their case for the Driftwood Throne. Rhaenyra and Daemon come to Driftmark with their clans to fight for the right to rule. Rhaenyra shows her dad her two new sons, Aegon III and Viserys, who she had with Daemon.
After Viserys the Living Corpse fought bravely to sit on the Iron Throne again despite his sad condition, Vaemond’s claim is shot down. This makes him angry, which causes Prince Daemon to cut his head open like a fresh cantaloupe.
Wil Johnson As Vaemond Velaryon In House Of The Dragon?
After this horrible death, the King held a dinner party for his family to help them heal. But as we all know, group events in Westeros never end well, and this tense meal was no different. Toasts were made, insults were thrown, cousins who were getting married were teased, and Rhaenyra’s illegitimate children, Aegon II and Aemond, continued to make people angry.
When the croaking King Viserys thinks Rhaenyra is at his bedside instead of his wife, Alicent, he continues a conversation he had with his daughter about Aegon’s Dream and The Song of Ice and Fire, a prophecy that tells of a battle for all of humanity and a Targaryen who will unite the realm. Alicent thought this Prince Who Was Promised was about their son Aegon II, but it’s actually about Rhaenyra’s family and Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow, whose real name is Aegon VI Targaryen.
Have you taken care of all your Aegons? Good. Now, let’s fight our way into Episode 9 of House of the Dragon, called “Green Council,” to see what kind of treachery is in store!

What Happens In Episode 9 Of House Of The Dragon?
King Viserys I has finally died, and because Queen Alicent misunderstood her husband’s prophecy about putting Aegon II on the Iron Throne instead of Rhaenyra, the women’s newfound friendship is likely to be burned to the ground. Lord Otto Hightower will have to say what he really wants, and Prince Aemond’s evil plans are just getting started as his fight with Prince Daemon and those Strong Boys gets worse. There will be more betrayal, more fear, and a lot more teasing.
Quiet in the realm.
