Sebastian Lletget, Becky G’s fiancé, has responded to suspicions of ad*ltery.
On March 27, the professional soccer player issued a statement addressing a “10-minute lapse in judgment” and an alleged “extortion plot” after an Instagram user claimed to have “all the proof” of him supposedly cheating on the “Shower” singer.
Lletget said he would do “whatever it takes” to regain Becky G’s trust, including enrolling in a “mental wellness program.”
Becky G and Lletget announced their engagement on December 9, 2022, before the suspected cheating scandal. “Our spot forever,” she captioned a carousel of proposal photographs.
Throughout their relationship, the couple has not hesitated to share their love on social media with their fans.
Friends introduced the pair in June 2016, and they immediately recognized that they had a strong connection. On Instagram in 2017, Becky G reflected on their first date, writing, “On our first date we talked about everything under the moon…literally. I remember specifically stuffing my face with sushi and talking about our dreams, goals and visions for where we see ourselves… everything we talked about on that date we are now doing or working towards. Crazy how fast time has flown by. I adore that you are a man of your word.”

Lletget is a professional soccer player and FC Dallas midfielder. He previously played for the New England Revolution, the Los Angeles Galaxy, and West Ham United of the English Premier League.
Lletget was named to the United States Men’s National Team in 2017.
