2 Shot, Several Others Injured During Asian Doll Concert At North Carolina College

During an Asian Doll concert at a college in North Carolina on Saturday night, two people were shot and several others were hurt as they ran away from the gunfire.

A fight broke out while the rapper was on stage at the Livingstone College homecoming concert in Salisbury at around 11 p.m., police and school officials said in a joint statement. A lone gunman then opened fire.

A man was shot and flown to the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, where his condition was said to be stable. A bullet just missed a woman, who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. This is what a city spokesperson said.

The college says that many more people were hurt as they ran away from the gunfire.

It’s not clear if the two people who were shot were students or not. Police said that the suspect was not a student at the private historically Black college Livingstone College.

Dr. Anthony Davis, the president of Livingstone College, said that the school is working with local law enforcement and reviewing its safety measures for the public.

Davis said, “It makes me sad that our students, alumni, family, and friends had to see this senseless act of violence.”

He also said that the school is checking on the mental health of the students because of the gun violence.

No arrests have been made. Asian Doll, who is also known as Asian Da Brat, didn’t say anything about the shoot, but the next night she put videos from the concert on Instagram.
