King Von, born Dayvon Daquan Bennet on August 9, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois, was an American rapper. He is now a member of Lil Durk’s Only the Family and Empire Distribution record labels. Throughout his life and after his deἀth, Bennett was linked to multiple m*rders and other alleged crimes associated with the Chicago gang scene.
Bennett’s singles “Crazy Story” and “Took Her to the O” peaked at number forty-four on the Billboard Hot 100, while his album Welcome to O’Block (2020) peaked at number five on the Billboard 200, earning him widespread praise.

King Von is not alive. The artist’s deἀth was announced in Atlanta, Georgia on November 6, 2020. He was one of three people shot to deἀth that day.
On March 4, 2022, King Von’s management team released his first posthumous album, What It Means to Be King. Its peak came when it was number one on the Billboard 200.
King Von’s Family Thanks Fans After Rapper’s Deἀth
On Wednesday (Nov. 18), about two weeks after the Chicago-born drill rapper was fatally shot at an Atlanta nightclub, King Von’s family issued a formal statement.
The statement was sent on social media by V.Roy of 100K Management, which had Von on its roster, along with a photo of him and his young children, on behalf of the late rapper’s family and crew.
“Thank you to everyone who has showed their outpouring of love for King Von. You all played a massive role in Von’s accomplishments, and by continuing to play his music and sharing your stories about how he has inspired and influenced you all, you’re keeping his legacy alive,” Von’s family and team’s statement read.
The post continues, “To celebrate Von’s artistry, vision, and the immense love that he had for his fans, we will be continuing his roll out of Welcome to O’Block, while working to share unreleased music and interviews that he devoted his creativity into completing. Von had also been working on new endeavors that we will be announcing down the line. Love, Von’s family and team.”

Around three in the morning on November 6, King Von (actual name Dayvon Daquan Bennett) and two other people were shot outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta. He was 26.
