‘Heartland’ & ‘Slasher’ Actor Robert Cormier Dead At 33

The actor Robert Cormier died on Friday, September 23, at the age of 33. Fans of the long-running drama Heartland will remember him as Finn Cotter, the grandson of Al Cotter (Duncan Fraser). Amy Fleming, who leads the series, had a chance of falling in love with Finn (Amber Marshall). Cormier also played Kit Jennings on the third season of the horror anthology series Slasher on Netflix. He also appeared in episodes of American Gods, Designated Survivor, and Ransom.

Heartland’s network, UPtv, paid tribute to the late actor on Instagram by posting a photo of him and his co-star from the show and writing, “Robert Cormier, aka Finn from Heartland, was an amazing talent who left us too soon.”

Heartland’s Instagram page also paid tribute, writing, “We are very sad to hear about Robert Cormier’s death. In the last two seasons of Heartland, he was a well-liked member of the cast. The cast and crew of Heartland are thinking of him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this tough time.

Even though his obituary doesn’t say how he died, his sister told The Hollywood Reporter that he was hurt in a fall and died in a hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario.

In the actor’s obituary, his family wrote about his many talents: “Robert was an athlete, an actor, and a great brother. He loved helping other people and was always trying to do more. He liked going to the movies with his family, and he looked up to his father a lot. He had an effect on many people in his life, including his family, teammates, and friends. Rob’s three sisters, who meant the world to him, and his love for art and movies will keep his memory alive.

His last Instagram post shows him surrounded by Heartland scripts, so it is likely that he will be in upcoming episodes of the show when it comes back for Season 16 on Sunday, October 2.
