Destiny 2 Season 19: Is It Coming To An End?

Destiny 2 Season 19 also called Season of the Seraph, is the last big update before Destiny 2: Lightfall. With the start of the new season comes a new Dungeon, changes to the Crucible, and a lot of changes to how weapons and abilities work.

You can also look forward to the usual Power Level boost and new Exotics.

Here’s when Season 19 will end and what we know will happen next.

On the Season 19 road map, which covers the period from December to February, the following events are confirmed:

Season of the Seraph comes out on Tuesday, December 6, along with new Crucible, weapon, and ability balances and Moments of Triumph 2022.

Friday, December 9: New Dungeon arrives.
Tuesday, December 20: Revision Zero Exotic becomes available.
Tuesday, January 3: Iron Banner and a new Fortress mode are released.

Guardians can also expect more Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, and The Dawning to happen sometime during Season 19.

What’s New In Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph?

Destiny 2 Season 19 changes the Crucible, Guardian powers, and weapons, and it also brings back Moments of Triumph.

Here is a quick list of what to look forward to:

Activity that fits Heist Battlegrounds as part of the weekly storyline that focuses on Warmind.

Exotic Mission Operation: Seraph’s Shield will give you access to Exotic Revision Zero on December 20. Over the next few weeks, you’ll be able to get a number of catalysts.

The following playlists can be found in the Crucible:

  • Quickplay: Control and Clash use “loose” skill-based matchmaking to put players together.
  • Weekly Rotator: Momentum Control, Mayhem, Team Scorched, Rift, and Rumble, with connection-based matchmaking.
  • Competitive Division: Survival, Rift, and Showdown are chosen at random by skill-based matchmaking.
  • Crucible Labs– showing off a 3v3 Rift with uneven maps and a reputation bonus of 25%.
  • Private Match: Games between friends made just for them

There will also be changes to the events that only happen once:

  • Trials of Osiris: replaces Crucible Labs and uses the ticket system that was already in place.
  • Iron Banner: replaces Quickplay and matches players based on their skills in a “loose” way.

Guardians’ abilities will change depending on their subclass. Even though the list of all the changes is long, there are a few that stand out.

For Solar:

  • Healing from Restoration is being toned down, and it will no longer stack with Healing Rift.
  • Knock Em’ Down makes Deadshot Golden Gun more resistant to damage and gives Blade Barrage fewer bonus projectiles.
  • Increase Celestial Fire Warlocks’ close-range melee damage.

For Void:

  • The Vortex Nova Bomb has a faster projectile and pulls enemies inward when it hits them.
  • Tether has been made last longer on Deadfall Shadowshot arrows and shorter on Mobius Quiver arrows.

For Arc:

  • Touch of Thunder Storm Grenade now lasts less time.
  • Ballistic Slam, Tempest Strike, and Arc Soul all do more damage in PVE
  • Boost to Ball Lighting range and Chain Lighting damage.

For Stasis:

  • Slow enemies have had their speed penalty increased.
  • Coldsnap got better Grenade enemy tracking

Weapons are undergoing a number of changes. Highlights are:

The weakening debuff from Divinity is being cut from 30% to 15%
Deep Stone Crypt weapons are become Deepsighted and craftable
A new exotic weapon is being added, with anti-champion functionality

Destiny 2 Season 19 has a release date of Tuesday, 6th December, and will end on Tuesday, 28th February at the usual weekly reset times.
