“Creed III” now has its first official trailer. Michael B. Jordan is ready to go back into the ring for another round. Jordan plays the boxer Adonis Creed, who trains with Rocky Balboa, who used to fight his late father Apollo.
In the new trailer, Adonis faces off against Damian Anderson, who is played by Jonathan Majors, an old friend who just got out of jail.
“We were like brothers. “But I was the best,” Damian says about his days as a boxer. “I didn’t get a chance to show that. But I’ll come for it all.” This time, Phylicia Rashad is added to the cast.
The script was written by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin.
Jordan didn’t just ask Coogler for help. He also asked other experienced directors. Denzel Washington, who just directed Jordan in the 2021 movie A Journal for Jordan, gave the younger star some advice as he started this new creative challenge.

Jordan said, “Talking to a lot of directors who had done this before gave me a good idea of what these experiences would be like.” “So I relied on those talks and suggestions. Before this project, I had just finished working with Denzel. So I had the knowledge and help that was there. Taking it one day at a time and always planning 10 steps ahead really helped me get ready.”
My directorial debut?! Still sounds crazy to say but there's no film that has been more personal to me and no film I've felt more ready to steer. Excited to share the first trailer for Creed 3. To my cast & crew thanks for working so hard to continue the legacy of the franchise. pic.twitter.com/PSbOr2usdH

Jordan also said that hiring Majors was a big creative boost for the project, but he didn’t say much about who Majors plays. Even though everyone has already seen how Majors changed physically for the role, Jordan called the character an “opponent” instead of the more moralistic “villain.”
“As a director, it meant the world to me to have that running mate and scene partner,” Jordan said. “I think he has a lot of talent. Every day, more and more people find out how great this man is. The credit he deserves for the work he does is finally being given to him.”
The movie “Creed III” will come out on March 3, 2023.
