) The President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, said, during a press conference at Forte dos Andradas, in Guaruja (SP), where Carnival is being held, that he had spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin and highlighted that Brazil will adopt a neutral stance in the conflict. The information is from G1 and O Antagonista.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that there were no talks on Sunday between the two leaders, but that the position of neutrality was reiterated during talks between the two leaders in mid-February in Moscow.

82163 The Antagonist informed that the president was asked if he would continue with a neutral speech, even in the face of the advance of Russian troops in the country’s main cities and reports of civilian deaths. Bolsonaro replied that “a large part of the population of Ukraine speaks Russian. They are practically sister countries. A massacre of civilians has long been heard about. It’s not anybody’s tactic to do that.”

82163 Bolsonaro said that the fertilizer issue, in which Russia is one of the world leaders in production, is “sacred”. “Our position has to be very cautious so as not to bring problems to our country.”
