As we go further into the Labor Day weekend, the Top 10 lists on Netflix continue to evolve, even as new content is added to the service. The rankings for both movies and television shows revealed that the top spots were taken by original content only available through the streaming service. Some examples of this content include “Me Time,” “I Came By,” and “Devil in Ohio.” The fact that these titles come from a range of categories is sufficient evidence to suggest that there will be a substantial selection of material available for viewers to choose from throughout this holiday weekend. The way things seem right now is slightly different, so we need to have this conversation.
Top 10 Movies of U.S. on the Netflix – September 4, 2022
A brand-new romantic comedy titled Love in the Villa, which had its world debut the previous Friday, is currently leading the pack. The comedy starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg, Me Time, maintained its position as the second most grossing film overall. However, there has been a shift in the third spot, which is now occupied by the mystery thriller I Came By, which stars 1917’s George MacKay.
This is one of the reasons why there has been a shakeup in the third slot. Sitting in fifth place the day before, the movie appears to be making significant headway. The next film on the list is a comedy. This Is 40, directed by Judd Apatow, has remained at the same position in the rankings since the day before. Collateral, a film directed by Michael Mann and currently available on Netflix, moves up one spot to take the fifth spot, moving up from its previous position of number three.
“Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Sing 2,” which feature an all-star ensemble, hold steady positions at six and seven, respectively. The film Loving Adults is also reliable, as evidenced by its maintaining its position as the eighth-best grossing movie of all time. The suspense film The Poison Rose, released in 2019, has recently made its way onto the list of films to watch. (I’m not sure that anyone, including me, would have anticipated that the movie starring John Travolta and Morgan Freeman would make a little racket on the streamer.) Last, That Amor has made it up to position No. 10. after having achieved a seventh-place finish the previous day.
1. A Romantic Getaway in the Countryside
2. Me Time
#MeTime has some funny moments but it’s yet another lazy, mostly unfunny & instantly forgettable Netflix comedy filled with unnecessary subplots. It benefits from Kevin Hart & Mark Wahlberg’s chemistry but the lowbrow humour, unfocused story & terrible script weigh it down pic.twitter.com/4WrSFsY1pj

Top 10 TV Shows Of U.S. On The Netflix – September 4, 2022
Once more, the top slot is within reach for Devil in Ohio, a film that aimed to show the anguish of past abuse in a “genuine” manner and is currently running for that spot. However, another limited series called Echoes is still vying for second place and is right on its heels.
Two additional noteworthy shows on Netflix, Partner Track and I Am a Killer, have remained in third and fourth place, respectively, despite the passage of the past day and have not moved up or down in the rankings. Given that the show will be allowed to continue airing in the fifth position, it would appear that there is still a healthy amount of interest in The Sandman.
Stranger Things has reclaimed its position as the sixth best show on Netflix after falling one slot to the seventh spot for just one day. The show is still being broadcast on television and should not come as a complete surprise to anyone. (For my part, I’m currently considering the various ways in which Vecna could make an appearance in Season 5).
High Heat has fallen one position and is now in seventh place. This represents a one-place drop from its previous post. Buy My House, a newcomer to the competition, comes in at number eight this time. In a twist of irony, the series jumps ahead of another real estate-centered show called Selling the OC, which is currently firmly entrenched at No. 9 in the rankings. The tenth and final spot goes to the acclaimed drama Virgin River, a favorite among viewers.

9. The Commercialization of the OC
It never ceases to amaze me how much can change on both lists in a single day and how much can remain the same. Even though exclusive content still holds significant sway, keeping an eye on how the new additions can shake things up is essential. For instance, if you’re interested in movies, you should watch The Poison Rose because unexpectedly successful thrillers like that can cause a commotion in the industry. While we keep an eye on that and other developments, you should check to ensure that your Netflix subscription is up to date so that you can stream these and other titles.
