After learning that her father is not her real father, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Angelina Pivarnick spoke up to fans and coworkers about a heavy family subject.
In a September 2023 episode of the popular MTV show, viewers witnessed the native of Staten Island get a DNA test, the results of which had a profound impact on her life. Since then, Angelina has taken to social media to discuss the subject and provide updates on her relationship with her family, who kept her father’s true identity hidden from her.
Who is Angelina Pivarnick Dad?
Many people have heard Angelina talk about how horrible her childhood was. In the second season of Jersey Shore, in the episode “Awkward City,” she made her public debut discussing this subject. Her connection with her dad was always unhealthy, as she revealed to JWoww, Lauren, and Deena.
“My childhood was not easy. My parents didn’t have a good relationship, my father was a cheater. He was an abusive father. He was never a father to me growing up as a kid,” she explained.
“He met my mother in court because my father was always getting out of jail. When I was born, my father was in jail. He only had me because it was going to get him a lesser jail sentence… that’s exactly… he told me that,” she added.
Many of her co-stars began to view her differently after hearing the confession, which shocked them all.
Hearing about Angelina’s problems with her father is tragic, but it explains why she is so dependent on him. In response to the tragic news, JWoww said, “I feel really bad for how I treated Angelina or judged her.”
“I had […] family members [who suffered from addiction] and it’s hard, seeing them go through that and when you have that problem and you overcome it […] that’s not easy at all,” she also remarked during a previous appearance on People TV.
While the celebrity did make casual references to her unfinished business with her dad and other relatives, she refrained from naming him. While Angelina’s dad has avoided the limelight for the most part, her mother, Ann Marie Pivarnick, has done her share of public appearances.

After the DNA findings were revealed on the show, Angelina still hasn’t said whether her sisters’ biological father adopted her. However, on September 13, she posted a selfie of herself sobbing to Instagram, where she also addressed the matter.
“These past three years haven’t been kind to me. When will my heart mend and heal. This year alone I found out things and I don’t even know how I’m still standing … Was lied to my whole life about who I am and where I came from.. my hearts broken… I don’t know how to fix it. I woke up this morning crying,” she wrote. “Unless u have dealt with the same thing you won’t truly know how it feels. My identity for years was a lie. This is my truth. My story and im allowed to speak the truth about what people have put me through.”
On top of hearing the paternity news in May of 2022, Angelina went experienced a contentious divorce from ex-husband Chris Larangeira earlier that year.
“If you feel out of place please take a dna test. I know it’s scary but you will know the truth at least. Ppl are trying to silence me for the pain they put me through for years. And it’s not going to happen,” the lengthy caption continued. “I need you all to pray for me as much as you could right now. I can’t do this much longer.”
After confessing her longing for “happiness and peace,” Angelina ended her statement. That can only happen if her friends “don’t just call” and instead hang out at her place and do things she enjoys doing alone.
