Why Is ‘Riverdale’ Season 6 Called ‘Rivervale’?

Here’s the real reason why ‘Riverdale Season 6, Episodes 1 to 5 are being called ‘Rivervale.’

For Season 6, the CW approached Riverdale’s showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, about developing a five-part special event. “What haven’t we done and what are people continuously asking us about?” we [the writers] asked ourselves. Fans and even the cast frequently question us about going into supernatural horror or overt terror, and this is something we’ve yet to do. “Oh, terrific! This is the perfect time to do it,” I thought.”

Kiernan Shipka will reprise her role as Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina at the Rivervale event. It was revealed that the character first appeared in Riverdale in episode 4 of the Rivervale event.

After the winter break, the show will resume to normal on March 6, 2022, when episode 6 airs following the Rivervale event on December 14, 2021.

WHEN IS THE FINALE?

After relocating from Tuesday evenings to Sundays in March 2022, Riverdale season 6 will have an episode every Sunday until Sunday, June 6, 2022, assuming there would be six episodes per season.

A short pause during this course may push the finals out until July 2022.

Season 6 may feature a few more or a few fewer episodes than previous seasons, which could change the release date as well.
