There haven’t been many blockbuster movies based on video games. It’s true that HBO just released a series called The Last of Us. Before that, though, there was Castlevania, a popular anime series available on Netflix. In the final season of the Castlevania TV series, based on the 1989 video game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, peace was finally restored.
The show continued until 2021. Fans, however, know that tranquillity in the Castlevania universe doesn’t stay forever. Here we go again with more vampires and the Belmont clan in another series. What we know at this time is detailed below.
Castlevania Nocturne Release Date
Castlevania: Nocturne will debut on Netflix on September 28, 2023, according to promotional material and the official teaser video that has been made available. In the meantime, all four seasons of Castlevania are available to stream on Netflix. You can check out Twitter.

Is There A Trailer For Castlevania: Nocturne?
Last year, Netflix released a teaser video for the new sequel series during Geeked Week, giving viewers their first look at Richter Belmont. Look at it down below:
The teaser opens with a contemplative young Belmont brandishing his renowned demon-smacking whip. In the distance, chants of enigmatic voices can be heard pleading for him to join their cause, hinting at the internal conflict between right and wrong that he will experience later in the series. We’re looking for someone named Belmont, a separate voice interjects later, followed by an evil chuckle. “Richter!” is yelled from a feminine voice, breaking his trance.
A second teaser for the game’s second protagonist, a young vampire hunter named Maria Renard, who will be accompanying Richter Belmont for the majority of his journey, was later given to the fans during Christmas of the same year when the show’s director Samuel Deats revealed her on Twitter.

On July 27, we received our first complete trailer, and it serves as a reminder of the reasons why we all adored the first Castlevania.
Castlevania: Nocturne’s complete trailer was released on September 7. This trailer fulfils all of our needs if you aren’t already convinced about the show. It has drama, action, and lore, and retains the essence of the first season. View it in the section below.
Who Are The Cast And Crew of Castlevania: Nocturne?
The showrunner for Castlevania: Nocturne will be Kevin Kolde. During the production of the first Castlevania series, Kolde also held the position of co-executive producer. Warren Ellis, the former writer and showrunner of the original anime, will not be engaged; Clive Bradley will be in charge of the creative and writing genius. Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation will work together on the series’ production.
The only cast member who has been revealed thus far is Sophie Skelton from Outlander, who plays Julia Belmont in Episode 1. Although Julia’s identity is not yet revealed and she may be an entirely new show character, she will have a close relationship with Richter. Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades may appear in flashback scenes, therefore Richard Armitage from the Hobbit film series and Alejandra Reynoso from the Winx Club may reprise their roles.
In addition, if the animated series sticks to the games’ plot, Alucard and Dracula will make a comeback in the spinoff, and Castlevania: Nocturne may feature James Callis from Battlestar Galactica and Graham McTavish from Outlander and House of the Dragon. The only two confirmed characters in the next sequel, Richter Belmont and Maria Renard, have yet to have their voice actors revealed.
