Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Release Date: Unveiling The Epic Gameplay And Riveting Story!

Activision has officially revealed Modern Warfare 3 for 2023, and it’s shaping up to be spectacular, especially for longtime COD fans. The MW3 2023 release date is also not far away, so here’s all you need to know about when you’ll be able to play Modern Warfare 3.

Despite previous claims that Activision would switch to a two-year release cycle for Call of Duty games and that no Call of Duty game would be released in 2023, we know this is untrue. With Sledgehammer Games at the helm, Call of Duty MW3 has the potential to be one of the best FPS games when it is released, as it includes several significant advances.

The game will include MW3 Zombies, and the MW3 map list will consist of remastered jewels from a classic Modern Warfare title. If that isn’t enough to persuade you to place your Modern Warfare 3 pre-order, check out everything we know about the game, including its official release date.

As we continue to delve deeper into the subject of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Release Date and continue our conversation, I ask that you kindly stay connected for the entirety of the conversation.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Release Date

Call of Duty confirmed the release date for the latest Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare III, on Twitter. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released on November 10, 2023, with a new logo and many highly anticipated new features. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the best-selling game in the United States in 2022. It scored the biggest opening quarter in franchise history in Q4, with $1.85 billion in net revenue, $694 million higher than in Q4 2021.

Activision initially announced this in a game announcement trailer on August 7. The reveal trailer confirmed the title and release date of Modern Warfare 3 and exposed us to an old foe. Makarov reappears as the primary antagonist in 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, as teased at the end of 2022’s Modern Warfare 2.

The release date was also revealed ahead of time by Insider Gaming before this official confirmation. Perhaps most intriguingly, the FTC vs. Microsoft court case disclosed essential details when a Federal Judge appeared to affirm Call of Duty 2023 would be released in November. Despite the lack of a particular date, the official Call of Duty Twitter account seemed to recognize the information disclosed during the court hearing with a highly odd post.

From there, the Call of Duty Twitter account asked players if MW2 Operators, weapons, and packages should be carried over to Call of Duty 2023, promising a “soon” reveal. Given the period of the equipment that may theoretically be carried forward, this also implied that the following Call of Duty was, in fact, MW3.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay and Story details

Makarov has returned in Modern Warfare 3. The primary baddie of the new CoD is Makarov, and the world may not be ready to witness what he has in store for Ghost and the crew. Little has been released about the gameplay, but slide canceling appears to be coming back.

In the tweet below (thanks, IGN, for flagging!), you can see a clear tease that slide canceling is being added to MW3:

Along with all of the above, we may already know quite a bit about the next Call of Duty game.

Insider Gaming states, “Modern Warfare 3 will feature a campaign, multiplayer, Zombies, and a new Warzone 2 map during the title’s first season.”

That’s everything you’d expect from a Call of Duty game, but the reintroduction of Zombies might be a hit. Insider Gaming claims that the new round began as “premium DLC” for MW2 but that “this year’s title is a fully-fledged sequel to Modern Warfare 2.” Hopefully, we’ll get a full sequel with zombie mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Maps

According to ‘CoD_Perseus’ and ‘El_Bobberto,‘ MW3 multiplayer will launch with 16 levels, all fully-remastered copies of maps from the original MW2. You read that correctly: Rust, Favela, and Terminal will be included in the MW3 maps. It’s interesting to see original MW2 maps rebuilt in this title rather than the 2022 game. Again, this is most likely a result of MW3 being (allegedly) an expansion to MW2 that developed into a complete game. While there will be no fresh maps at launch, Sledgehammer has vowed to provide at least 12 new maps as part of seasonal upgrades over MW3’s lifespan.

Zombies will also be played on a new, large-scale battlefield. While Activision hasn’t announced anything about it yet, content producers have suggested that it will be the same play space as the new Warzone map that will be available on the MW3 release date. There will also be larger maps for Ground War and one custom map for the War game mode, which returns after a brief hiatus.

There’s also a hint for Warzone players yearning for the return of an iconic map. The MW3 Makarov trailer teases the return of Verdansk, which Warzone players have been anticipating since it was eliminated, with Caldera replacing it in the original Warzone.

We also noted some of the other games that will be released, which you can see here:

Call of Duty MW3 Weapons leak

‘CoD_Purseus’ leaks indicate various new and returning MW3 weaponry. The leak revealed the Lach-9, BAS-B, MTZ-762, TAQ-V, ANVL-B, MCW, and Sidewinder, although the photographs have been removed.

Some appear to be new variations of MW2’s weapon family system. The BAS-B, for example, seems to be an assault rifle derivative of the popular BAS-P SMG. Similarly, the Lach-9 might be a renamed Lachmann-Sub or a new variation of the Lachmann armament family. Meanwhile, the TAQ-V is a potentially returning MW2 weapon.

This is quite likely, considering MW3 rifles and weapons expand on many of the weapons present in its predecessor. This is incredibly likely, given the transfer of MW2 weapons, camos, attachments, and other items into MW3. The most exciting aspect is the possibility of new weaponry, such as the ANVL-B, if the sources are correct.
