Battlefield 2024

Xbox Game Pass and EA Play to Get Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 Soon

The most controversial game of 2021 is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate next week, and it is expected to be joined by another one of the most controversial games of 2021, according to reports. Furthermore, it has been revealed that on May 5, which is next Thursday, both Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 will be added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play. This means that if you are an existing Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you will not have access to these games; however, those who have played these games have stated that you are not missing out on much.

This is not only the most controversial game of last year, but it is also up there with Cyberpunk 2077, No Man’s Sky, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and other games from the previous generation as one of the most controversial games of the previous generation. At launch, it was riddled with bugs and had performance issues, and it lacked a slew of fundamental features and content from previous installments.

Unfortunately for Battlefield fans, the game has not yet addressed all of the issues that have been identified. Meanwhile, just as with Battlefield 2042, a quick glance at the FIFA 22 User Score over on Metacritic will tell you everything you need to know about what fans of the soccer simulation series think of the game.

Having said that, some enhancements and new features have been implemented, including a more user-friendly scoreboard and voice chat (yes, the game launched without voice chat). According to reports, EA is hoping that the Xbox Game Pass release will help the game gain some traction prior to the release of Season 1 later this summer. As for FIFA 22, it was around the same time last year that FIFA 21 was added to the EA Play/Game Pass, so the game’s inclusion isn’t a huge surprise.

In addition to a subscription to EA Play and its library of games, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes a subscription to EA Play for $15 per month. You can get a one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $1. EA Play is available for purchase separately for $5, and EA Play Pro, which includes all-new EA games on Day 1, is available for purchase separately for $15. What are your thoughts? Is it possible for you to finally give Battlefield 2042 a try if it is included with your Xbox Game Pass or EA Play membership?

Neither game has been confirmed for a May 5 release, but both are listed as being available on various international Xbox stores at the time of writing. When this has happened in the past, the games in question were quickly added to the main menu. Because EA Play games are typically made available approximately six months after their initial release, this timing is reasonable. Adding Battlefield 2042 to the game may take place a little later than next week, but it should not happen later than next month.
