Adam Driver Wife: A Look Into His Marriage And Relationship

Adam Driver won us over with his portrayal of Charlie, a grieving divorcee, in Netflix’s Marriage Story, and he was nominated for a Golden Globe this year for his comedic role in White Noise.

But, while he’s well-known for his work on Girls and as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars franchise, we don’t know much about the 39-year-old actor’s personal life, especially his other half, Joanne Tucker.

Who Is Adam Driver’s Wife, Joanne Tucker?

Tucker is an actress born and raised in New York and the granddaughter of the late Bermudian politician Henry Tucker. She has appeared in movies such as The Report, Give or Take, Listen Up Philip, and Gayby.

She also appeared on HBO’s Girls (she played Driver’s wife in the play featured in season five, episode seven) and Showtime’s Billions. She was most recently seen in three episodes of the show American Rust.

How Did Adam & Joanne Meet?

The couple met at the Juilliard School of Drama, though acting was not Driver’s original intention. In fact, the actor served in the Marine Corps for two years before inadvertently breaking his collar bone, effectively ending his career.

Despite his disappointment, the injury inspired him to pursue acting and meet Tucker; the rest is history.

When Did They Start Dating?

The attraction between these two was almost instant. Driver claims he bonded with Tucker because of her New Yorker persona.

“She introduced me to Gouda cheese,” he told Broadway.com. “And you shouldn’t spit on the sidewalk while talking with your mouth full.” It sounds like a perfect match.

When Did They Get Married?

Driver and Tucker married in a top-secret destination wedding in 2013. Although we don’t have many details about the wedding, the Star Wars actor previously revealed that there was a lot of charcuterie involved. Oh, my goodness, Gouda!
