Tyrus Early Life
On February 21, 1973, in Massachusetts, George Murdoch entered the world. During their abusive relationship, he revealed that his father had once hit him in the eye. Murdoch and his brother, he claims, were not welcome at their father’s childhood home after he moved back there after their mother had returned there.
For a long time, Murdoch and his sibling were fostered. After their father’s death, their mother took the brothers in, but he left home when he was 15 years old. In the year 1990, he was a student at Quartz Hill High School in Los Angeles County, California. It was by 1995 that he had enrolled at the University of Nebraska in Kearney.
Tyrus Career
After signing with WWE, he was sent to their developmental territory Deep South Wrestling to begin his career in the business. In 2006, he made his debut and adopted the persona of a street thug and ring name G-Rilla. He made his debut by selecting Big Bully Douglas. In 2010, he re-signed with WWE and was moved to the Florida Championship Wrestling brand. Using the moniker G-Rilla once more, he joined forces with Tamina, Donny Marlow, and The Uso Brothers.
Before changing his ring name to Brodus Clay in 2010 (a play on Snoop Dogg’s real name, Calvin Cordozar Broadus), Tyrus won bouts against Jacob Novak and Rudy Parker.
