The famous athlete, who is 40 years old, said in her September 2022 Vogue cover story, which came out on Tuesday, that she will quit the sport after the annual tournament so she can focus on starting a family.

Williams isn’t yet pregnant with their second child, but she wrote that she wants to have another child, but not until she’s done with sports. “Alexis Ohanian and I have been trying to have another child for the past year, and we recently got some information from my doctor that made me feel like we can add to our family whenever we’re ready,” she said.
“As an athlete, I’m sure I don’t want to get pregnant again. I have to be all in or all out when it comes to tennis.”
Williams won her first match in more than a year on Monday at the National Open in Toronto.
She said she would play at the US Open in Queens later this month, but she didn’t know if she would win.
