Horst Rapper Riff Raff (born January 29, 1982) is the stage name of American musician Christian Simco.  Ron C., one of the initial founders of Swishahouse, was in charge of his management at first. Riff Raff was signed to DJ and producer Diplo’s record label Mad Decent from 2013 until 2015. Prior to that, he was affiliated with the imprint S.O.D. Money Gang Inc.

Towed by rapper and producer Soulja Boy. Former members of the rap trio Three Loco, Andy Milonakis and Dirt Nasty, reunited for “Bitches in my Driveway” on Simco’s Halloween 2016 Halloween mixtape. Due to legal issues surrounding the release of the 2012 picture Spring Breakers, the partnership eventually broke out. A Beartrap Sound pendant and chain were part of the rumoured $500,000 contract that Riff Raff signed with vocalist Blackbeard’s label in February 2018.

On January 29, 1982, in Houston, Texas, Ronald Simco, a Vietnam War veteran with severe post-traumatic stress disorder who worked as a police officer and a Walmart manager, and Anita Isaacs, a maid, welcomed their first child, Simco.  His mother’s family is Holocaust survivors and victims from Germany and Lithuania. They settled in Shaker Heights, Ohio. It was the second of four children for Riff Raff. Copperfield was a suburb located 25 miles northwest of Houston, where he and his family made their home.

He spent a lot of time as a kid playing basketball with the other kids in the neighbourhood. Stone Creek was somewhat close to where the Simcos now lived. Before he dropped out of high school in his senior year, he played shooting guard for the Langham Creek High School basketball team.  Shortly thereafter he received his GED. His father was afflicted with tonsil cancer after his parents divorced, so the family relocated to Duluth, Minnesota, so that his father could spend his final years in a milder climate.

In 2005, Riff Raff started writing rap songs and recording them on handmade CDs. He would then distribute the CDs by hanging them in Houston area commercial centres. In his formative years, he was heavily influenced by Paul Wall and Devin the Dude, two Texas rappers. There were countless auditions since Riff Raff wanted so much to be on TV. He auditioned for Making the Band with P. Diddy but was unsuccessful.

In 2008, he originally rose to fame under the moniker “MTV Riff Raff,” a reference to the fact that he released music and films on MySpace and YouTube that fused performance art with slapstick comedy. He got his big break when MTV’s reality show “From G’s to Gents” decided to feature him after seeing his popular videos. To audition, he’d flown all the way to Atlanta. Riff’s unique sense of style and hilarious ad-libbing earned him a place in viewers’ hearts even after he was written out of the show in episode two.

Seeing the rapid response to his presence on the show propelled his career and made him even more popular on social media. At the end of that year, Riff Raff caught the eye of actor and rapper Simon Rex, who had seen one of his freestyle videos. They became friends after Rex reached out to him, and they released music as Riff Raff and Dirt Nasty together. Along with comedian Andy Milonakis, they went on to establish the rap group Three Loco.
