Prosecutors said on Wednesday that former NFL player Kevin Ware Jr. burned his girlfriend’s body after killing her. According to Click 2 Houston, the horrible details of Taylor Pomaski’s murder were revealed in court documents as Ware was taken to the Harris County jail in Houston to face charges for her death.
Ware, age 42, was charged after the body of Pomaski, age 29, was found in December in Harris County. She hadn’t been seen in seven months after she was said to have fought with Ware at a party they were hosting.
Court documents filed on Wednesday said that after killing her, Ware burned her body. He is accused of murder and tampering with evidence, specifically the body. If he is found guilty, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, Ware was being held north of Houston on unrelated drug and gun charges that came from an arrest in 2019 where he was allegedly caught with a loaded AK-47 and a lot of cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine.
The former tight end had a short career in the NFL in 2003 and 2004, splitting time between Washington and San Francisco.
