The Massachusetts State Police have canceled an Amber Alert for 4-year-old Cortana Goncalves, who was abducted in Springfield by her non-custodial biological mother.
Brandee Arnold, 32, is accused of kidnapping the small girl during a family gathering on Thursday around 9:30 a.m., according to State Police. Around midday, Goncalves was discovered safe in a trailer park on Fifth Avenue in Cheshire.
Arnold had previously made su*cide and homicidal statements, according to police, and there was “urgent concern for the safety and well-being of the child.”

Arnold was arrested and will be brought to Springfield to face charges in connection with the alleged kidnapping.
