Suspect Apprehended For Allegedly Launching Phone At Bebe Rexha During Concert

The New York Police Department reported that singer Bebe Rexha was rushed to the hospital after an audience member hurled a phone at her face during a Sunday night concert in New York City.

According to authorities, the singer sang at Pier 17 when 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna “intentionally” hurled a cell phone at her. Officers apprehended Malvagna at the site. Later, he was charged with assault.

Rexha shared two photos on Instagram on Monday, one showing an apparent black eye and a cut near her brow.

“Im good,” she captioned the post.

Concertgoers captured the moment Rexha was smacked in the face on video. As her colleagues assisted her off the platform, Rexha sank to her knees and raised a hand to her face. As she walked away, fans applauded her name.

“Absolutely great show ruined by a fan throwing their phone at @BebeRexha hopefully she is ok after that,” one spectator tweeted.

The show on Sunday night was part of Bebe Rexha’s “Best F’n Night of My Life Tour.” Her next performance is set for Tuesday in Philadelphia.
