More “Picard” content is on the way. With the drop of “Star Trek Picard Season 3,” fans finally got to know about a brand-New Enterprise. If you are wondering what is it, well, the Odyssey-class USS Enterprise-F will be soon becoming a canon. To give you a bit of a recap, it was initially seen in a video game. However, that wasn’t the only big reveal of “Picard Season 3”. Apparently, a new villain is emerging and we also get to see the legacy characters of “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. New York Comic Con Had a Big Reveal: Will there be a New Villain?

On 8th October 2022 which was a Saturday, New York Comic Con was arranged for all the comic fans. The “Star Trek Universe” was there to shock the fans with the latest new updates. Soon, Paramount+ revealed the trailer for the last season, “Star Trek Picard Season 3”. But what was the reveal that made the fans’ jaws drop? As a matter of fact, a new villain will be introduced in “Picard Season 3”. Amanda Plummer will be playing the character of the new villain.  She will be called “Vadic” and will be seen in charge of commanding the warship “Shrike”. 

But guess what, that is not the end.  “Picard Season 3” will witness the return of two more legendary villains that the audiences have already seen. As a matter of fact, Brent Spiner will be reprising the role of “Lore”. This is actually Spiner’s “Data” character’s brother whom you might recall from season 1. Plus, Professor James Moriarty will be coming back in “Picard Season 3”.  Actor Daniel Davies who is associated with the role since he played it on “The Next Generation” will be seen creating horror. Thus, “Picard Season 3” will be welcoming as many as three villains to make the last chapter of the series pretty iconic.

The newest trailer gives a detailed insight into all the names and characters who will be making their comeback in “Picard Season 3”. Fans were excited to know about all the names who are expected to have a major impact on season 3.

There will be new additions since LeVar’s daughter, Mica Burton will be in “Picard Season 3. She is booked for the role of Ensign Alandra La Forge who is basically known to be the USS Titan-A’s helmsman. On the other hand, Ashlie Sharpe Chestnut is going to La Forge’s other daughter named Ensign Sidney La Forge.

The icon, Sir Patrick has already claimed “Picard Season 3” to be “unexpected and questionable” 

However, he also claimed to be “thrilled about that because it leaves a question mark hanging over Picard’s head. 

Even Terry Matalas, the showrunner of “Picard” is excited and he shared a statement with “Deadline”,  “I remember watching the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation almost 34 years ago with my father like it was yesterday. It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction. So, it’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the USS Enterprise. It would be an understatement to say that giving these characters a proper send-off is an honor,” “The entire Star Trek: Picard team and I can’t wait for fans to experience this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in season three!”

The New Enterprise

So what is the New Enterprise of “Picard Season 3”? As we have mentioned earlier, Odyssey-class USS Enterprise-F is going to be featured in “Picard Season 3”. In the trailer, we have seen Enterprise-F and it is believed that maybe, Picard’s Enterprise ultimately goes to see its fate in a major destination of the Star Trek Universe.

Though this isn’t the first time that the fans got to see Odyssey class, the viewers are excited. In fact, it was primarily seen on the MMO video game Star Trek Online and with its addition in “Picard Season 3”, the season will be epic.

When Will “Picard Season 3” Be Released?

The first two seasons of “Star Trek Picard” is currently streaming on Paramount+. However, “Picard Season 3” is yet to be released. It is slated to premiere on 16th February 2023, and we know that you cannot hold your excitement.
