Ben Shelton entered the Atlanta Open as a wildcard entry to begin his ATP Tour career. In the opening round, he defeated Ramkumar Ramanathan to earn his maiden ATP victory. Later, he advanced to his fourth Challenger final at the Charlottesville Men’s Pro Challenger, where he defeated his doubles partner Christopher Eubanks to win his first Challenger championship.
