“Love is blinds” of Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl have broken up. We have verified that Ruhl filed for divorce on August 15. In the second season of the Netflix show, they were the show’s last married couple. Six couples tied the knot during season two of the dating competition and this one was one of them.
The couple may have felt anxious and unsure of themselves during the run-up to their wedding. She wanted him “to be my husband more than anything,” Ruhl said, adding that she and Thompson had talked about what they were going to say that morning and were “still not on the same page.” At the time, Thompson seemed to think she wasn’t ready. As he prepared to walk down the aisle, Thompson said, “I’m back and forth, up and down, left and right.”
Thompson was sweating bullets as they made their way to the altar, and his grey suit was soaking wet as he looked at his nervous bride. Surprisingly, they both said “yes” when it came time to decide if they would become husband and wife after reading their vows, despite Thompson’s dramatic sigh at the end of the previous episode.
Just like Season 2’s Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely, Ruhl and Thompson have announced their split. The authors of the statement collaborated on a portion of it. After much consideration, we’ve decided to end our marriage and begin the divorce process. We’re going in different directions in life, and that’s okay. Coming to this conclusion was challenging, but we always wish each other the best.
Love Is Blind’s Danielle Ruhl Files For Divorce From Nick Thompson
Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, a couple from the second season of Love Is Blind, have filed for divorce. Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones’ announcement of their split last week was the second divorce in as many days for a season two cast member. TMZ has obtained divorce paperwork showing that Thompson and Ruhl officially separated on August 15.
In her most recent Instagram post, dated August 1, Ruhl gushed over having “the finest time” at this year’s Lollapalooza with Thompson. Neither Thompson nor Ruhl has spoken publicly about their split. In a joint statement posted to Instagram last week, McNeely and Jones announced their separation and said they would begin the divorce process. After much thought, they concluded, “it is with great sadness that we must inform you that we have decided to end our relationship.“
“It’s okay that our lives are going in different directions, even though we’re in love.” It was not an easy decision, but we wish each other the best. The couple also asked for “some space we conclude this chapter in our lives.” Ruhl and Thompson are the final couples to break up on Love Are Blind season two, following Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen, who gave their relationship “several attempts” before deciding to end it.
The cast may no longer be together, but on August 12, Ruhl posted a photo of herself, Lee, McNeely, and Deepti Vempat with the caption “Girlfriend appreciation post.” Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, two members of the cast of “Love Is Blind,” have filed for divorce.
