Brianna Ghey, a transgender TikToker girl, was recently found stabbed in a park in Cheshire. Politicians and activists have said that a hate crime caused her death, but the police haven’t found any proof yet.
Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old transgender girl and popular TikToker, was found dead in a village park in Culcheth, Warrington, Cheshire, on Saturday.
A boy and a girl, both 15 years old, have been arrested for murder. As word of Brianna Ghey’s death spread on social media, the police couldn’t find any evidence that the killing was motivated by hate. The police are now asking people in the area and drivers for footage from CCTV cameras and dashcams to help with the investigation. Ghey’s family has said that her death has left a “huge hole” in them. Police have set up a no-fly zone near the crime scene because they saw a lot of drones flying around.
Who Killed Brianna Ghey?
Police think that a boy and a girl killed her in Warrington Park. Later, people in the neighborhood saw her dead body at Linear Park. She had been stabbed and was lying on a path.
Police said a post-mortem was being done to find out what caused Brianna’s death. They also said they were helping Brianna’s family, who live in the nearby town of Birchwood.

More than 11,000 people followed Ghey on the TikTok app. On her TikTok timeline, you can see her dancing, lip-syncing to music, and dancing in a park. She put up her last video on her @gingerpuppyx account just a few hours before she died.
Brianna Ghey Was A Trans girl
According to the news, Ghey was born a man. This week, after her death, a group that supports transgender people will hold vigils for Ghey all over the UK.
Brianna’s Family Makes A Statement
A statement released by Brianna’s family read,
“Brianna was a much loved daughter, granddaughter, and baby sister. She was a larger-than-life character who would leave a lasting impression on all that met her. Brianna was beautiful, witty and hilarious. Brianna was strong, fearless and one of a kind.”
The principal of Brianna’s school, Birchwood Community High School, Emma Mills, stated: “We are startled and profoundly devastated to learn of Brianna’s death. We will do all in our power to support our students and the whole school community during what is clearly a very trying and traumatic period for many.”
Twitter erupts in anger
Many politicians and activists in the UK linked the killing of Brianna Ghey to hate against transgender people. In a tweet, Labour Party leader Jeremy Corby said that she was killed for wanting to be herself. Someone else on Twitter said that Ghey was the only transgender teen killed recently.
