Who Is Nikki Glaser? Meet The Comedian And Host Of ‘FBoy Island’ Season 2 On HBO Max

Nikki Glaser is back to host the second season of the HBO Max reality dating show FBoy Island. Nikki wrote on Instagram, “Thank god, I’m so happy to say it’s even better than the first season. Who could have known? Still, it is. IT IS.”

On Thursday, July 14, the show’s second season comes out, and three lucky women go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. There, they’ll meet 26 men who are either “nice guys” or “F-boys.”

The men compete to stay in the game and win a cash prize of $100,000. But Nikki Glaser, the show’s funny and relatable host, might be the best thing about it. The 38-year-old comedian and podcaster have been on TV, radio, and the internet for many years. (Talk about having many sides!)

What you need to know about Nikki is as follows:

Who Is Nikki Glaser?

Nikki has been on several stand-up specials and late-night shows. According to her official bio, her dirty jokes are about the most embarrassing things that have happened to her as a woman in the modern world.

She calls herself “a complete open book on the mic” and discusses hard things like her struggles with anorexia, depression, and anxiety. But she doesn’t just do it to make people laugh. She wants to be “the voice for women that she wished she had when she was a young, confused teenager.”

She is on tour right now with a play called “One Night with Nikki Glaser,” which she is performing.

Sarah Silverman is what she wants to be like.

Nikki’s parents would watch comedies with her when she was 10 years old. Nikki watched how the pros did stand-up comedy before she started doing it herself.

Nikki told the Wall Street Journal, “I went to Google and typed in ‘girl comedian.'” “I started to read her funny stories. I saw that I could do it. She said some pretty dark things, but she was so cute.”

Which makes a lot of sense considering how she has been acting lately.

Nikki moved back to St. Louis not long ago.

Nikki grew up in Des Peres, a suburb of St. Louis. When she was 18, she moved to Kansas to go to college. St. Louis Public Radio says that she first did stand-up in her dorm room. She split her time between New York and Los Angeles before the pandemic. But when COVID took over, she moved back in with her parents. She now has her own apartment and works from St. Louis.

She told St. Louis Public Radio, “I just kind of got used to the idea that I would only go home for the holidays and wouldn’t get to see my niece and nephew grow up or my parent’s age.”

“And now I’m kind of settling in and learning that I can actually have this career from St. Louis, which is pretty great.”

She is the queen of roasting famous people.

Nikki has made fun of everyone from Bruce Willis to Alec Baldwin to Rob Lowe. The Daily Beast called her “one of the best celeb roasters of all time.” (Spoiler alert: Some of her comments are NSFW.)

Nikki says that her lack of “empathy” makes her personal life harder, but at roasts, she can really “go there.” In an interview with The Daily Beast, she said, “It’s allowed me to be bold on stage and say things that most people wouldn’t.” “Because I don’t care how people will react.”

Nikki has participated in a reality show.

Nikki is not only a fan of reality TV, but she has also been on one. In 2018, she danced briefly on Dancing with the Stars.

She told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she had always wanted to be on The Real World, but she was afraid that she would do something that would define her forever. “You agree to do a show over which you have no control… “Everything bad about you comes out,” she says. “It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there in that way.”

She and her best friend host a podcast.

Nikki is the host of The Nikki Glaser Podcast, which can be heard daily on iheartradio and the Big Money Players Network. She records the podcast in their guest room with her roommate and best friend, Andrew Collin. (That’s so cute.)

Her dad is in a band, and she loves them the most.

Nikki is a helpful daughter who always says nice things about her family. Glaze and the Moonkings is the name of the band her dad is in, and she always talks about them on Instagram. She says cutely that her dad is “legit good” and that people should check him out.
