Flight MH370 was officially declared lost on March 8, 2014, early in the morning.
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 left Kuala Lumpur International Airport for Beijing at 12:41 a.m. local time. On March 8, the flight with 227 passengers and 12 crew members was scheduled to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. local time. But, about an hour after taking off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Flight 370 disappeared from all radars.

What happened on MH370?
The mystery of what happened to Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 on March 8, 2014, is still one of the biggest in the history of aviation. The plane going to Beijing took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and disappeared from radar screens less than an hour later. The last place anyone knew it was was about 120 nautical miles east of Kota Bharu, Malaysia.

Several ideas have been put forward to explain why Flight 370 went missing. These include mechanical failure, pilot error, hijacking, and even terrorist acts.
