Ukraine reports more than 2,000 civilians killed in 7 days of Russian invasion

More than 2,000 civilians have been killed since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in 400 of February, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service (DSNS) said on Wednesday (2).

“During the seven days of the war, Russia destroyed hundreds of transport infrastructures, homes, hospitals and day care centers. Ukrainians died, not counting our defenders”, said the entity in a publication on Facebook.

In a statement, the DSNS highlighted that its rescuers managed to save more than 85 people, evacuate others 600 and extinguish more than 400 fires caused by Russian bombing. Also according to the entity, its anti-bomb squad has so far deactivated a total of 400 explosive devices. During all these missions, 10 rescuers were dead and others 13 were injured.
