When Sanders’ death was confirmed on June 16, Sanders’ agent, Pedro Tapia, said, “Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future.” “He comes from a great family, and we’d like you to give them some space right now.”

After Sanders died, his family made strong statements about the importance of mental health awareness.

David Sanders, Tyler’s father, said, “Tyler was an ambitious, hard-working actor who was also deeply and persistently depressed.” “Even though Tyler was trying to get help, he had trouble finding relief and decided to try drugs. Tyler started taking drugs not because he wanted to have fun with his friends, but because he was having a hard time with his mental health. Even though we are still sad about Tyler’s death, we are determined to tell his story in the hopes that it will help people talk more about this common problem.

Ginger Sanders, his mother, also said something. “It’s been tough for me to lose Tyler to fentanyl poisoning. I want people to know that we are just like any other family who never thought something like this could happen to them. Tyler had a lot of people who cared about him, but he still couldn’t get over his depression. Tyler tried to connect deeply with people and bring happiness to those around him. This may have been because he was sad. Tyler’s inner battles were quiet, but he was determined to make sure no one else felt the way he did. Tyler loved God and people, and he always did his best. Our sincere hope is that our story will help save other people.”

The “Do More 4 Tyler” project is being started by Joe Nussbaum, who is in charge of Tyler Sanders’ show Just Add Magic: Mystery City.

Nussbaum said, “One of the best things about making kids’ TV is working with talented, enthusiastic, and dedicated young actors like Tyler.” “Tyler wanted to be an actor so much that he would write “Do More” on his hand to remind himself to keep working toward his goals. “Do More” is now up to us. In honor of Tyler, other people who work in kids’ TV and I have put together the “Do More” Initiative. We want to change how the industry takes care of the mental health of child actors, who are the youngest and most vulnerable people in the business.
