tWitch was born Stephen Laurel Boss on September 29th, 1982, in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2008, he gained widespread recognition after finishing second on Season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance. What Was tWitch’s Cause of Death?
What ultimately took the life of Stephen “tWitch” Boss? According to Page Six, tWitch committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. Once “no indicators of foul play” were found by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the investigation was concluded.
According to a TMZ report citing law enforcement sources, on December 13, 2022, tWitch’s wife, Allison Holker, panicked and raced into a Los Angeles Police Department station because tWitch had left the house without his car. tWitch was found dead in the hotel bathroom of the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California at roughly 11:15 a.m. PT, from a gunshot wound to the head he had inflicted against himself. Death was declared immediately upon arrival.
TMZ was told by reliable sources that tWitch had checked into the motel on the morning of December 12, 2022, the day before his untimely demise. TMZ quotes motel employees as saying Witch wasn’t “in trouble” or “visibly disturbed” upon his arrival.
According to employees, he checked in with a carry-on and only reserved the room for one night. On December 13, 2022, after tWitch failed to check out by the designated time, the hotel staff discovered his body in his room. Due to the motel’s U-shaped design and individual units, the staff assured TMZ that they did not hear a single gunshot during tWitch’s stay.

What Happened to tWitch?
Stephen “tWtich” ended his life, but how exactly? Allison Holker, Twitch’s wife, released a statement to People on December 14, 2022, confirming her husband’s death. There were 40 years between them. Holker released a statement reading, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us.”
Anywhere Stephen went, he was the brightest star in the sky. Above all else, he cared about his loved ones and his community, believing that true leadership was based on spreading positivity and light. He was the rock of our household, the finest of husbands and fathers, and an example to his many admirers.

She left a final note for her spouse at the end of her speech. ”Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” she said. Holker and tWitch’s ninth wedding anniversary was on December 13, just three days before he passed away on December 18.
“It’s our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU #happyanniversary #bosswedding2013,” in the description of an Instagram image featuring photos and video from their wedding day.
tWitch also posted a photo from his and Holker’s wedding in black and white to Instagram in honor of their anniversary. “Happy anniversary, my love @allisonholker #9 years,” he said.
