Twitter will soon let you swipe between tweets, topics, And trends

Soon, you’ll be able to swipe between different Twitter views that show recommended and followed tweets, trends, topics, and other things. Elon Musk said in a tweet that the navigation feature would be supported starting in January.

Musk first hinted at the feature earlier this month: “The main timeline should make it easy to swipe sideways between top, latest, trending, and topics you’re interested in.”

By tapping the stars icon in the screen’s top right corner, users can switch between a chronological timeline that shows the most recent tweets in order and a Home timeline that shows recommended tweets.

But this new feature goes one step further by adding more views and making it easier to see them by letting you swipe. Even though this seems helpful, it might take me a while to get used to it because I might switch between different views by accident as I scroll through my timeline.

It’s still unclear when the feature will be available to all users. Still, it joins a list of (somewhat unnecessary) Twitter features Musk has introduced this month, such as view counts on tweets, “prioritized ranking” in conversations for Blue subscribers, and square profile pictures for brands.
