Taylor Swift Protects Fan And Argues With Security Guard While Performing “Bad Blood” In Philadelphia

A moment from a Taylor Swift concert, this weekend that had nothing to do with her vocals went viral. Saturday night in Philadelphia, Swift interrupted her performance of “Bad Blood” to defend a concertgoer in an apparent dispute with a security officer.

Her remarks were documented on video, and one clip garnered over 6 million views on Twitter.

“She’s fine,” Swift is heard yelling into the crowd, apparently frustrated by what she saw. She paused again to add, “She wasn’t doing anything.” The star then yelled, “Hey, stop” two more times.

From the videos on social media, it’s unclear what happened among the audience to cause the reaction. According to CBS News Baltimore, the fan was eventually identified as Kelly Inglis, a Maryland elementary school teacher, and mother.

In a TikTok video posted to her friend Caitlin Gabell’s account, Inglis shared her tale. With the caption “It’s me, hello, I’m the problem,” she stated the security guard had been “harassing” her and her group all night, a reference to Swift’s song “Anti-Hero.”

“Every time we did anything, he was on top of us,” Inglis explained. “We’re dancing, having fun, and he didn’t like it.”

She stated that the guard was later escorted out and that the group was offered tickets to the show the following night.

Lincoln Financial Field, the venue, was contacted by CBS News for comment. The stadium stated that the problem had been handled and fixed internally.

In a subsequent post, from her own TIkTok account, Inglis expressed her profound gratitude for Swift’s acts the night before.

“I have been a huge fan, Taylor, since I was 17 years old,” the self-proclaimed “Swiftie” stated. “The fact that you did that for me last night and stood up meant so much,” Inglis said that the Taylor Swift concert on Saturday was her 13th.

Swift’s Eras Tour, the singer’s first in five years, began in March. She then travels to Massachusetts, where she will perform three gigs at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
