Here is your last chance to see The Super Mario Bros. Movie before it hits theaters. The final trailer for the film, which features Chris Pratt as the eponymous plumber, was published today by Nintendo and Illumination.
It’s more of a preview of the game’s features, although it does have a dramatic opening and side-scrolling gameplay. A Mad Max–esque showdown is also possible on Rainbow Road. An excellent suggestion for the future Mario Kart game.
Trailers for individual characters, including Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key), and Donkey Kong, have been released in the time since our first look at the film in October (and our first listen to Pratt’s take on Mario) (Seth Rogen). Jack Black portrays Bowser, and Charlie Day plays Luigi.
The movie was originally scheduled for a May release but its debut date was recently moved up to April 5th (instead of the 7th).
