South LA Drive-by Shooting Leaves 5 injured

Authorities said on Thursday that a drive-by shooting in South Los Angeles resulted in five individuals being injured.

An officer from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call about shots fired at 9:31 p.m. on Wednesday in the 700 blocks of east 108 Street west of Avalon Boulevard.

Witnesses told the responding officers that the victims were standing outside of a location when a vehicle drove by and fired several shots at the victims, according to a spokesperson for the LAPD.

A man in his 30s, two boys aged 15, and a man in his 18s were all sent to the hospital after receiving treatment at the scene. The man in his 30s is in stable condition.

According to the police, no suspect description was provided, and it is currently uncertain whether the shooting was related to gang activity.
