Since neither Sabrina nor Joshua has addressed the dating rumors head-on, their status as a couple is now unknown. The controversy surrounding their potential romance prevented the publication of their collaborative song, “We Both Know,” which was meant to appear on the HSMTMTS star’s EP.

The singer told Billboard in February 2021, “I didn’t want my EP to be overshadowed by some other story that others were attempting to build,” referring to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” scandal. I’d want to see less chit-chat and more attention paid to the artwork. You shouldn’t spend your life trying to win over critics, but it’s also important to be aware of when it might be more appropriate to share something like “We Both Know” with the world.
