Post Malone is a proud father of a daughter. The “Circles” rapper and his fiancée will have a daughter in May 2022.
Malone told PEOPLE that he and his then-girlfriend were expecting their first child in just a few weeks.
“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad,” he remarked in early May. “Time to take care of my body, family, and friends, and spread as much love as we can daily.”

One month later, Malone, real name Austin Post, told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe about his eagerness for parenthood, claiming he was “pumped beyond belief.”
“As a kid, I was like 4 or 5, and I had this little baby I would carry around everywhere,” he explained when asked if he had always wanted to be a father. “It was just a baby doll.”
That was the coolest thing to me. I’d take him wherever with me. And I’m not sure how long that lasted. “However, my mother still has it.”
“I’m so pumped up,” he said of becoming a father. “I’m going to be a really hot dad.”
The Grammy winner did not formally announce his daughter’s birth, revealing the joyous news during a June broadcast of Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show.
“I woke up at 2:30 in the afternoon, kissed my baby girl, and then went to play some video games,” Malone explained during the interview.
“But hasn’t that been on the QT [quiet]? We had no idea you had a daughter, did we?” Stern inquired, and the rapper laughed. “Yes, I want her to make her own choices.” That’s all there is to it.”
Malone also revealed in the interview that his longtime girlfriend, whom he has not publicly recognized, was now his fiancée. The artist from Texas has never openly discussed his relationship on social media.
The Crocs collaborator opened up about the difficulties of combining life on the road and fatherhood in an October 2022 interview with GQ.
“It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often now,” The place, he said. “I’m just glad to see her.” It hurts to leave her and not be with her constantly.
How did he feel about being a new father and releasing a new record, June 2022’s Twelve Carat Toothache, so close together? “I’m so happy and ready to kick some a—,” he exclaimed.
While he told GQ that his kid was “way cooler than me,” he admitted there could be some “swag by proxy.” He also called her a “legend” who was “huge” and “super tall.”

She Was Born In The Spring Season
While Malone hasn’t released his daughter’s name or birth date, PEOPLE has learned that the rapper and his fiancée welcomed their first child in May 2022.
According to TMZ, insiders near the rapper revealed that the parents-to-be attended an intimate celebration in Southern California for family and friends to honor their soon-to-be-born daughter during the final weekend in April 2022.
Malone, born in Syracuse, New York, and reared in Grapevine, Texas, lived in Los Angeles from 18 until 2019, when he relocated to a mountainside property outside Salt Lake City, Utah.
In January 2002, his father, Rich Post, who lives nearby, told Billboard that the transfer “was a big sigh of relief for the parental figures.” The rapper is still frequently in Los Angeles for gigs.
Malone Emblazoned His Face With Her Initials
Though her complete name has not yet been released, Malone has revealed her initials: DDP. On the right side of his face, the three letters were tattooed above “Stay Away.”
Tattoo artist Chad Rowe applied the ink in October 2022. He posted an Instagram photo of the rapper’s new tattoo, saying that the “trust of such [an] important tattoo is a huge honor.”

Malone has focused on living a better lifestyle after becoming a father.
He posted a selfie of himself resting in bed on April 28, 2023, while on tour in Antwerp, Belgium. He answered inquiries about his weight loss in the caption.
“I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to give up soda and start eating better so I can be around for this little angel for a long time,” he added. “Up next is smokes and brews, but I like to think of myself as a patient man… lol!”
“I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time,” he continues.
