The most distinctive armor in the galaxy is that worn by the Mandalorians. The beskar armor’s excellent design and strength enable it to withstand any attack while providing the wearer with the highest level of protection and a threatening appearance.

Due to the significance of his armor, Mando frequently gets into difficulty in the Disney+ series. However, how useful is it to wear on the set? In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, actor Pedro Pascal discussed how the Mandalorian suit felt and worked.

The actor explains. While it is impossible to determine who is behind that helmet given its design and the fact that Mando never takes off his helmet, Pascal feels:

“It’s like putting on a head-to-toe glove with weights on it,”

“it’s ironic that you can’t see any facial expression because it puts you in the world so completely, and instantly makes the character feel real,” adding, “but you can’t see shit!”

For two seasons and in The Book of Boba Fett, we have seen the Mandalorian doing some amazing feats thanks to the beskar armor. We have seen the Mandalorian perform some incredible exploits with the help of the beskar armor throughout two seasons and in The Book of Boba Fett.

He can endure explosions, take direct hits from Stormtrooper guns, and do a lot of other things that assist him to complete any objective he sets out to do. The actor divulges the costume department has:

“continued to finesse and make it more comfortable, but it’s like going blind.”

Indeed, the weight of the costume coupled with action sequences would reduce its functionality. Pascal continues,

“Your breath completely fogs up the narrow slit that you can see through. There’s no peripheral vision. If there’s a hole, I’m gonna fall into it,”

He laughs. Nonetheless, the actor appreciates the fact that putting it on transports him instantly into the character:

“When it’s on, you immediately feel powerful, protected, dangerous, and like a protector.”

Din Djarin will return to Mandalore in the show’s upcoming season to ask for forgiveness for breaking the creed’s code by removing his helmet to bid Grogu farewell during the second season.
