Parag Agrawal’s Net Worth As Twitter CEO Hit By Elon Musk Takeover

Elon Musk’s first week as the owner of Twitter has not been a secret. He made his first big move on the job by reportedly firing Ned Segal, Parag Agrawal and Vijaya Gadde, who were all top executives.

Who Is Parag Agrawal?

In 2011, Agrawal got his first job at Twitter as a Distinguished Software Engineer. He had worked for Microsoft, AT&T and Yahoo before this. He worked his way up to Chief Technology Officer and in 2021, Agrawal took over as CEO of Twitter from Jack Dorsey.

In an email to everyone at the company, Dorsey said that Agrawal was his top choice to replace him “because he knows the company and its needs so well.” Dorsey said, “He leads with his heart and soul and I learn something new from him every day.” I have complete faith in him as our CEO.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Agrawal went to school at the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay and then got his Ph.D. in computer science at Stanford.

Elon Musk Announces The First Day At Twitter HQ

Elon Musk shared the news of his first day as owner of Twitter with a video on October 26. In the short video, Musk is carrying a white sink as he walks into the building. He wrote in the tweet’s description, “Entering Twitter HQ—let that sink in!”

Musk then told his Twitter followers that he had met “a lot of cool people” there. Since then, he hasn’t said much on the platform.

Musk sent out a simple tweet two days later that said, “The bird is freed.” People who follow him thought he was talking about the blue bird that is the Twitter logo. But he didn’t say what else he meant.
