When Will Outer Banks Season 3 Release Date? A Look at the Characters and Trailer

The Outer Banks will soon return in less than a week. We’ve been waiting almost a year and a half to see our favorite Pogues again. In the following chapter, what kind of treasure hunt will John B. (Chase Stokes) and his buddies participate in? What will transpire when John B. first meets up with his father, Big John (Charles Halford)?

More action, adventure, and romance are things we anticipate for Season 3. The Pogues were pursuing the coveted Cross of Santo Domingo when we last saw them in the Outer Banks Season 2 finale. The Pogues could not obtain the ultimate prize, but at least they largely avoided harm.

The series, set in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, centers around a gang of teenagers known as the Pogues, who John B. calls the “lowest members of the food chain.”

John B. and his buddies set out to discover the truth about his father’s absence, but their expedition quickly turns into a dangerous treasure hunt as they come up against the rival Kooks.

Below is all that is currently known about Outer Banks Season 3.

Outer Banks Season 3 release date 2023

Outer Banks Season 3 will debut on Netflix on February 23, according to a statement made on January 3. Interesting fact: Madelyn Cline unintentionally revealed this date in a Young Hollywood interview last year. We are overjoyed that the Pogues will return in just a few weeks!

Outer Banks’ official website: The Season 3 episode names list was also posted on Twitter. Now I’m going to Google “gnomon.”

Outer Banks Season 3 trailer

Outer Banks Season 3’s trailer wastes no time sharing what the Pogues will search for next, but the hunt won’t be easy. “You and your friends hold the key to the ultimate conquest: El Dorado,” Carlos Singh (Andy McQueen) says in the video.

“And that, my young friend, is my destiny.” And if we know anything about the Kooks, they’ll do anything to get their hands on the treasure.

“I’m going to take what’s mine. Rightfully mine,” Rafe (Drew Starkey) says. The trailer teases a long-awaited moment: John B. seeing Big John.

We previously received a first-look teaser for Season 3 at Tudum: A Netflix World Fan Event in September 2022. Despite being stuck on an island, everything seems to be going well for the Pogues at first.

Before we see the vehicle chases, hand-to-hand battle, and impending danger in store for the OBX buddies in Season 3, it’s all coconuts and puka shells.

First look at Outer Banks season 3

Netflix released outer Banks Season 3’s first look photos and the season’s premiere date. On what looks to be Poguelandia, there is a picture of John B., Sarah, and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) gazing at something with varying excitement.

We must also discuss this first-look photo of Kie (Madison Bailey) and JJ sharing a private moment (Rudy Pankow). In Outer Banks Season 3, can we finally expect these two closest friends to fall in love? Jiara supporters rise.

Netflix also released the Pope and Cleo teaser by Jonathan Daviss and Grant. We’re thrilled that Grant will become a series regular in Season 3 and can’t wait to see how Cleo’s relationships with the Pogues develop.

Spoilers for Season 3 of Outer Banks

In an interview with Metacritic, Elizabeth Mitchell — who plays the scheming Carla Limbrey in the series — teased what’s to come for her character. “I do get to hang out with Big John (Charles Halford) quite a bit, which is lovely because he’s terrific,” Mitchell said.

The final scene of Outer Banks Season 2 teased this partnership since Big John told Limbrey he would help her find the shroud with healing powers if she agreed to help his son John B.

“I don’t know if you’d call it ‘teaming up,’ but they are together a great deal of the time, especially in the first part.” Of course, Limbrey has proven to be someone who can’t be trusted — she killed her half-brother in Season 2.

“I don’t know that Limbrey is a team player, let’s just say that,” Mitchell said.
