Olivia Newton-John died when she was 73 years old. The star of “Grease” died Monday morning at her ranch in Southern California, surrounded by family and friends. She had been sick with cancer for a long time.

The sad news was posted on her official Facebook page in a statement that said, “Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years by sharing her journey with breast cancer. The Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, which is used to study the relationship between plant medicine and cancer, is a continuation of her healing ideas and pioneering work with plant medicine.

The Post has asked Newton-representative John for more information.

“I bow down to her. She’s my mom. My best friend,” the loving daughter wrote in the photo’s caption. The two were walking through a field together. It’s hard to tell when the picture was taken.

Newton-John fought cancer on and off for 30 years and put a lot of her rumored $60 million fortune into the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund to help fund research into cancer.

Newton-John was first told she had breast cancer in 1992 when she was 43 years old.

She found out that the disease had come back in 2013, and in 2017 she said that it had spread to her lower back. After that, cancer spread to her bones, and doctors said she had little chance of living because it was in stage 4.

Even though she was in constant pain, the bubbly Australian became an outspoken supporter of cancer awareness and the use of marijuana to treat cancer.

Even though she had been fighting cancer for a long time, the news of Newton-death John’s still sent shock waves through the entertainment industry and made her celebrity friends cry.

John Travolta, who was also in “Grease,” wrote on Instagram about his longtime friend: “You made our lives so much better. Your effect was really big.”

Newton-John was born in England in 1948. When he was five years old, his family moved to Australia.

She started singing in the late 1960s, and her first solo album, “If Not for You,” came out in 1971. The title song was written by Bob Dylan and first recorded by George Harrison.

The song went to No. 1 on the US Adult Contemporary chart and No. 25 on the pop charts. Newton-John went on to win three Grammys in the mid-1970s.

In 1974, her song “Let Me Be There” won Best Country Vocal Performance, Female. In 1975, her song “I Really Love You” won Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female.

But she didn’t become a real star until 1978 when she was cast opposite John Travolta in the musical film “Grease.”

In the movie, she played an Australian student named Sandy Olsson. It was the biggest hit of the year, and its soundtrack sold a whopping 28 million copies. It is still one of the records that have sold the most copies.

The song that Newton-John and Travolta sang together, “You’re the One That I Want” topped the pop charts, and her solo ballad “Hopelessly Devoted to You” went to No. 3.

The movie made Newton-John one of the biggest stars in the world. Later that same year, her next solo album, “Totally Hot,” shot up the charts.

Newton-John tried her hand at a second movie musical in 1980 with “Xanadu,” but critics and audiences didn’t like it.

The soundtrack, on the other hand, was a hit and made Newton-John a pop superstar.

Then, in 1981, the blonde had her biggest hit with “Physical,” a sexually charged anthem that stayed at No. 1 for 10 weeks.

The song was eventually named the most popular song of the 1980s. It came with a steamy aerobics video clip that won a Grammy for Video of the Year.

Newton-John told Fox News last fall that she thought the song was a little bit racy when it first came out.

The superstar said that fans’ new views of her after the single came out were called “reinventing yourself.”

She also said, “I wasn’t trying to do it.” It was just the song and the album that got me interested. But I feel very lucky to have been able to record it. I don’t think I realized how racy it was when I was recording it. I freaked out when I heard it afterward.”

During the 1980s, Newton-John kept touring and putting out albums, but her personal life was also getting better.

She married actor Matt Lattanzi in 1984. Two years later, they had a daughter named Chloe. In 1995, they broke up.

Newton-John had problems with her health and a number of other things in her personal life.

The star started dating cameraman Patrick McDermott a year after she broke up with Lattanzi.

In 2005, when McDermott went missing while fishing off the coast of California, the on-and-off relationship they had had for nine years made the news. People looked for him very hard, but they never found him.

A 2008 report by the US Coast Guard suggested that McDermott had been lost at sea. But in April 2010, an American TV show hired a private investigator who said McDermott was still alive in Mexico and had faked his death to get money from his life insurance. This claim hasn’t been shown to be true.

Newton-John talked about her boyfriend’s disappearance in public. She told the Australian Women’s Weekly: “I think there will always be a question mark… I don’t think I’ll ever be really happy about it.”

She later met producer John Easterling, whom she married in 2008. There is a picture of Newton-John with Patrick McDermott, who was her boyfriend at the time before he mysteriously disappeared in 2005.

Daughter Chloe Lattanzi, on the other hand, has had her own health problems, like anorexia and drug abuse.

The star told the Mail on Sunday in 2013 that her eating disorder began when she was 15 and lasted until she was in her early 20s. “I was having panic attacks and needed to find a way to feel like I was in charge of something. The only thing I could control was food.”

She also started to use cocaine and drink a bottle of vodka every day.

“Every night, I would go out to different Hollywood clubs to party, where I would run into other young celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton and just party the night away,” she said.

In 2012, Lattanzi had a “semi-psychotic meltdown.” With the help of her famous mom, she spent seven months in rehab.

“Even though the situation was so painful, I felt so lucky to have my mom there to lean on and cry with,” she said.

Newton-John was only 43 years old when she was first told she had breast cancer in 1992.
