A new Counter-Strike game may have leaked from the most recent NVIDIA drivers. New profiles claim that Counter-Strike 2, a new Counter-Strike game, is currently in production.
I will venture a guess and say that this is most likely the CS Source 2 Engine remaster. After all, if it were a sequel to CS, we would have heard at least a little about it. Yet you should be reasonable with your hopes. Do not anticipate a complete recreation of the old game.

If this is Counter-Strike Source 2, I’m assuming it will simply have quality-of-life enhancements (as well as some performance improvements due to Source2 Engine). And sure, I don’t anticipate any Ray Tracing effects or textures of a better grade.

Something weird just happened. Latest NVIDIA drivers introduced support for unknown app executables called "csgos2.exe" and "cs2.exe". Why project is called Counter-Strike 2 and what are you cooking @csgo? https://t.co/U9YKlAjwgy pic.twitter.com/PU8Op9uGLq

That these two executables (as well as the game profile) are brand-new makes this situation particularly intriguing. Older NVIDIA driver versions did not contain this profile. So, yes, it does seem like a legitimate leak.
Learning more about the “Counter-Strike 2” game will be interesting. Neither NVIDIA nor Valve have made any statements on this to date.
