Nicholas Belmore, 42, Charged in Fall River Bank Robbery

Fall River Bank Robbery- A Swansea man was taken into custody after being linked to a bank heist in Fall River.

Nicholas Belmore, 42, has been arrested on armed robbery charges while hiding behind a mask.

As per sources, The police report about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 22 feb, 2023.  Belmore entered the Rockland Trust Bank on Robeson Street and handed the teller a note. Upon the employee’s compliance, Belmore departed on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.

Yesterday, our officers were able to apprehend a suspect who had robbed the Rockland Trust Bank on Robeson St. With the assistance of a witness, officers were able to make an arrest in less than one hour.

42-year-old Nicholas Belmore is charged with armed robbery while masked.

A witness later told cops that Belmore entered a parked car and provided a detailed description of the vehicle, including the plate number.

The police say they located the vehicle near North Eastern Avenue shortly afterward. They pulled over the car, and the police arrested Belmore.
