My Unorthodox Life Season 2: The second season of the Netflix reality show My Unorthodox Life promises to be even more eventful than the first, with divorces, fashion presentations, and a new love interest for Miriam. If the teaser is any indication, this season will have viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
In case you haven’t seen the show before, let me briefly explain what happens. In each episode, we get a glimpse of the dazzling New York City lifestyle of renowned fashion designer Julia Haart and her dazzling brood. The premise of the show revolves around Julia’s desire to leave her Orthodox Jewish community in Monsey, New York, and pursue a *very* different life.
In the world of reality television, that translates to lavish bashes, Manhattan penthouses, and racks upon racks of expensive clothing. Julia is the current CEO of Elite World Group, although her authority is being questioned this season due to her (apparently) contentious divorce from her second husband Silvio.
My Unorthodox Life Season 1 Recap
New on Netflix is My Unorthodox Life, a docuseries about fashion mogul and former member of an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community turned CEO of Elite World Group Julia Haart and her family. While also being a mother of four, Haart has taken the helm of a worldwide talent empire and is on a quest to transform the business from within.
Her offspring include Batsheva, a TikToker who wed at 19, Miriam, an app designer forging her own way, Shlomo, an aspiring lawyer dating in New York City, and Aron, a high schooler caught between two cultures.
My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Plot
There has been a lot of change for the Haart women since season 1 production concluded. To begin, Julia and her daughter Batsheva have decided to separate from their spouses. Additionally, Miriam now has a new girlfriend after claiming in the teaser that she was “seeking for s*ex, but discovered love instead.”
Batsheva’s husband, Ben Weinstein, who she wed when she was 19, had a significant role in the first season. Therefore, this time around, readers can expect to learn more about Batsheva’s professional life (she’s an influencer) and her adventures as a single woman. As the trailer suggests, Julia is also trying to keep her job at Elite World Group after claiming in the trailer that Silvio fired her as a result of their divorce, which was revealed in February of 2022.
There is also talk of Silvio blocking Julia’s access to the business, her email, and the whereabouts of her stolen artwork. According to People, the first look also reveals that Julia’s youngest son Aron and his desire for a more religious lifestyle are front and center in the family’s discussions. Aron has been arguing with his mother more and more about his decision to attend an Orthodox yeshiva rather than a public school.
Which Cast Members Are Returning in My Unorthodox Life Season 2?
Julia, her youngest daughter Miriam, her eldest daughter Batsheva, her son Shlomo, and her youngest, Aron, feature in the trailer for My Unorthodox Life Season 2, so it seems like most of the fan favorites will be back.

Fans of The Real Housewives of New York’s Jill Zarin may also recognize a Bling Empire cast member, since the latter is expected to make an appearance, according to Netflix.
Who Isn’t Coming Back?
I just wanted to let you know that Silvio Scaglia and Julia are divorcing. And judging by the teaser, it does not look like he is filming with the family because it is not an easy one. Silvio was there the first week we shot My Unorthodox Life with Julia. He has no intention of returning for further shoots, and it is now unknown if he will be included in My Unorthodox Life Season 2 or eliminated.
When Was My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Filmed?
In September 2021, Julia said that the show would return for a second season. It appears that filming may have occurred later. Plus, Batsheva and Ben didn’t go public with their divorce until later in the fall, so it seems logical that filming took place either around that time or shortly after.
When is My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Premiering on Netflix?
With the release of nine new episodes on December 2. Make a place in your TLC Holiday movie lineup for some Haart family drama after the Thanksgiving holiday.
