Jordan Sorenson, A Missing Girl found in West Valley basement From Arizona

Arizona authorities retrieved a missing teen from the basement of a convicted s*x offender on January 31, 2023.

Jordan Sorenson was placed on probation after being found guilty of aggravated s*xual extortion of an adult in the first degree in June 2020.

The Utah Department of Corrections reported that they learned about the missing child and her possible ties to Sorenson.

Later, agents picked up Sorenson from his employment and returned him to his West Valley residence, where they started looking for him. It turned out that the girl had been hiding in the cellar.

Adult Probation and Parole Director Dan Blanchard credits the teams’ success to their rapid response.

“This is one of the many roles our agents take every day to help keep our communities safe. We are very grateful for the response and professionalism of these officers. Agents act on a number of tips every day, and in this situation they helped to locate this girl,” said Blanchard in a press release.

A victim advocate from the Attorney General’s office is looking after the missing teen. Sorenson is currently being investigated by the Attorney General’s human trafficking unit for potential new criminal charges and probation violations.
