If you watched Adventure Time and thought to yourself, “I like this, but I wish it was even weirder,” then you have a lot of different tastes. You’re also in luck because you have a lot of different tastes. Creator Pendleton Ward gave animation fans another show that found humor in apocalyptic situations – The Midnight Gospel. The show ended in 2018 before it was brought back in 2020; it was relaunched in 2019.
A spacecaster named Clancy Gilroy (Duncan Trussell) interviews people on different planets right before they’re wiped out by a disaster, often with Clancy barely escaping with his life. The first season of the show came out on April 20, 2020. You could watch the series without sound and just look at the beautiful animation. The high-concept plot is backed up by beautiful animation.
From drug legalization to religion, the show talks about a lot of different things with both humor and heart. So, fans may be a little disappointed to learn that Netflix hasn’t renewed the show for a second season even though fans have even started a petition to get more episodes. What we can say so far about a possible second season of The Midnight Gospel.
Plot For Midnight Gospel Season 2:
As a fan of the first season of The Midnight Gospel, I’m sure you’d love to see more of it. The show did end with a grand finale vibe that could be an emotional send-off to such a weird show. Charlotte, Clancy’s dog, and his simulator explode at the end of the last episode of the first season. This is how it ends. The last scene shows Clancy on a train with everyone he has met on the show. The last words he says are, “Just be here now.”
There is a possibility that Clancy and everyone he has met may embark on a final voyage, but given the psychedelic nature of the show, it is not out of the question that he will enter some other plane of existence and continue interviewing individuals to learn more about what it means to be alive. Considering there are hundreds more episodes of Duncan Trussell Family Hour to choose from, if Netflix were to decide to continue the series, it might last for quite some time if they were to do so. Even if it’s still up in the air as of right now, it’s possible that viewers can learn anything from the series. If you want to be present at the moment, you shouldn’t be worried about what the future of The Midnight Gospel will be like.
The following are some recommendations if you haven’t already seen the Netflix original cartoon series The Midnight Gospel: First and foremost, throw out any preconceived notions you may have about what an animated show should look, sound, or feel like. Prepare yourself for one of the most bizarre viewing experiences you will ever have, as our happy protagonist travels around numerous planets, conducting amusing interviews with the inhabitants of those worlds as they near their apocalyptic conclusion.
“Clancy,” our pink-skinned hero, is a spacecaster who lives in an alternate dimension on the “Chromatic Ribbon,” which is a ribbon of color that connects all the dimensions (stay with us here). incredibly powerful biological computers are used to simulate countless worlds from which new technology can be harvested in this dimension, and Clancy — who is illegally in possession of one of these computers — delves into these worlds as they are coming to an end in order to collect material for his space cast. What exactly is a space cast, you might wonder? Why it’s pretty much the same as a podcast, only it takes place in space. This particular novel by Clancy is titled The Midnight Gospel, and in it, he delves into such weighty topics as drug addiction, mortality, and religion with characters whose lives are coming to an end in a variety of weird ways.

Midnight Gospel Season 2 Release Date:
Most of the time, we would think that Netflix shows would have new seasons about a year after the last one aired. Season 2 of The Midnight Gospel should come out in the spring or summer of 2021, since season 1 came out in April 2020. Unfortunately, we don’t know for sure if there will be any new episodes. It could take a long time (if it even happens at all).
The streaming service has had to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic just like every other studio in the world has been. Because of that, there might be some delays, but because The Midnight Gospel is an animated show, it should be easier to get new episodes in production. When we don’t know when or if we can go back to the Chromatic Ribbon, it’s hard to even think about it.
Midnight Gospel Season 2:
Since there has been no news about the trailer, we don’t know much about it. It won’t come out until Netflix renews the show and the production of the new season starts. So, we think that the trailer for Midnight Gospel Season 2 will be out in about a year or more. Till then watch the previous season’s trailer:
