In neither shooting, anyone has been caught. The probes are still going on. Three shootings and two stabbings happened earlier on Saturday, one each in Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.

The NYPD is still looking into three shootings that happened on Friday, including a robbery at a deli in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn that ended with gunfire and a mass shooting in the Bronx that killed one person.

On Saturday, Eyewitness News talked to Mayor Eric Adams. He insisted that the city is getting better at fighting gun violence.

“We have decreased a double digit in shootings, (we’ve seen) double digit decreases in homicides,” said Adams. “So these high-profile incidents really feed the belief that we are not winning this battle. We are moving in the right direction. We are going to catch the bad guys that are participating in these crimes.”

Police are asking anyone who knows anything about recent cases to get in touch with them.
