A rival bodybuilder and fitness teacher posted a video on YouTube that disproved Johnson’s claims. The video showed that the “organ eater” was actually doping with steroids to the tune of $11,000 a month to get his imposing body. After the story came out, Johnson said that the steroid claims were true and that he still takes a small amount of testosterone once a week.
A New York man named Christopher Altomare has sued Johnson and his companies, Ancestral Supplements, LLC and The Fittest Ever, LLC, according to a story in the New York Post.
In the $25 million lawsuit, Altomare says that Johnson lied about how safe his products were and promoted a “dangerous and life-threatening diet,” both of which made Altomare’s customers sick “very badly.”

One of Johnson’s “Nine Ancestral Tenets” is “Eat Tenet,” which suggests eating raw organ meats like liver, spleen, heart, kidney, pancreas, and testicles. In the complaint, it was said that he “consistently” went shirtless to “show off his strong body” and “make himself look like the picture of health.” But people who wanted to keep up with the routine had to buy his supplements.
According to the complaint that the Post got a hold of, “Liver King persuaded millions of consumers to follow or stick to the Eat Tenet by repeatedly telling consumers that his nearly perfect body and good health were due solely to his adoption of the Ancestral Tenets, mostly the Eat Tenet.” “Yes, I’ve done steroids. “Yes, I’m on steroids,” Johnson said in a video posted on December 1.
Altomare is now saying that he and other people would have never bought anything from Johnson if they had known he used steroids. But Johnson insists that his businesses are doing well even though he is strict.
In a video, he said, “The Liver King brand has nothing to do with my business success.”
“My companies were already kicking a–, already successful before the Liver King public figure, growing at 50% year over year and still growing at the same pace after.”
Johnson added: “I fully own that I f—– up. All I can do is take extreme ownership right now, be better and lead myself to a better life as a better human.”
