Keanu Reeves’s Dating History
After meeting on the sets of Babes in Toyland, Reeves dated his co-star Jill Schoelen from 1986 to 1989. He met Sofia Coppola while filming Dracula, directed by her father, Francis Ford Coppola. They dated briefly before splitting up in 1992, the same year they met.
Amanda de Cadenet writes in her memoir, “We met when I was 19 years old, two months pregnant, and married to another man [John Taylor of Duran Duran]. I remember thinking within minutes of first seeing [Reeves], ‘I wonder how many pregnant ladies have affairs?’ My overwhelming attraction to a man I had just met astonished me.”
Yet, she stated that Reeves was a “guy with extreme principles” who only went on a date with her after she divorced her husband.
From 1999 until 2001, the action hero dated Jennifer Syme, whom he met at a gathering for Keanu’s band Dogstar. Ava, Syme’s stillborn kid, was born a month before the 9-month mark.
The couple split up momentarily but quickly reconnected. Syme was killed in a vehicle accident, and Reeves served as a pallbearer at her and their daughter’s burial. He was also romantically linked to Claire Forlani; sources indicate they dated from 2004 to 2006.
