On New Year’s Day, a 14,330-pound snowplow ran over Renner near his home in Reno, Nevada. He was taken to the hospital. The actor was flown to the hospital by helicopter, where his rep said he was in “critical but stable condition.”

The representative also said that he had “blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries” and had to have more than one surgery.

In a 911 call, a worried neighbor can be heard saying that Renner was “crushed” by the plow and begging for help as soon as possible.

Renner was “short of breath” and in “a lot of pain,” but he was “conscious.”

On January 3, Renner posted the first photo of himself at the hospital and thanked fans for their support.
